Geografia e storia

Il villaggio si trova a 33mwfw km a sud-ovest di Rethymnon e occupa una pendenza del Monte Kryoneritis, a circa 500 mwgametri s.l.m.cite-ref-1[1]. Il villaggio è stato occupato dai Venezianicite-ref-2[2].

Monastero di Myriokefala

A Myriokefala vi è un monastero importante: il mwkwMonastero di Myriokefala, della mwlaVergine Maria, costruito nell'mwlqXI secolo, ubicato nel centro del villaggiocite-ref-3[3]. La chiesa del monastero è decorata con affreschi dell'mwmgXI e del mwmwXII secolocite-ref-4[4].

Infrastrutture e trasporti

C'è un servizio di autobus (KTEL) da Rethymnon per Myriokefalacite-ref-5[5].
